The Université Chrétienne Bilingue du Congo has the opportunity to influence the future of the Democratic
Republic of Congo by delivering committed graduates who are academically high in quality, contextually trained, and
ethically sound. Academic emphases will compel students to continue engaging the challenges in the communities and to
actively seek the rebuilding of their country in whatever professional capacity they engage.
Université Chrétienne Bilingue du Congo's approach to community interaction and institutional service is
designed to develop ethnical and compassionate leaders for the rebuilding of a nation that is emerging from years of
conflicts and mismanagement.
Students meet weekly in mentoring groups to discuss institutional and personal concerns. Small groups of 10-15 students
are facilitated by a faculty or staff member. As faculty become involved in student's community life, they encourage
ethical growth and reflection related to student's academic and professional development
The Department of Ethics and Leadership Development under the Theology of Faculty devotes more formal study how
theological and contextual reflection can encourage ethical decision making in political, social and economic spheres.
